It's a good idea to know the folks you're buying from.Cal and Kay Lum are the
owners and managers of North Shore Cattle Company. Cal or "Doc" as
his friends call him is the retired Hawaii State Veterinarian and Kay is a
retired Operating Room Nurse. Together, they run the 1,000 acre ranch with
the help of family and a few "Kokua" Paniolo - Cowboys who help
because they love the work.
The mission of the ranch is to produce " Beef with that Old Fashioned
Taste," the best in the Pacific.

The ranch is located in the tranquil foothills of
the Ko'olau Mountains at elevations from 800 to 1500 feet above sea level. We
have a panoramic view of the Waianae Range and the North
Shore
coastline. The land was formerly a sugar plantation and the sugarcane have
been replaced with guinea grass and kleingrass pastures.
This is the largest commercial pasture-finishing cattle ranch on Oahu - in an area of the island that is still
considered "Country."
